Minimum pool size - what?

We currently have this pump for this pool. I'm having some issues with the SWG saying "low flow" after every swim causing me to need to backwash, and the output from the jets is also very low. I want to get this pump as I think it will be much better for the pool.

Why does it say "minimum pool size"? Can I actually not use this since my pool size is 4500 gallons?

Hey Rnacker and Welcome !!! The overwhelming majority of short filter cycles we see are chemistry issues and not mechanical ones.

Newb after newb after newb comes in wanting it to be the filter, which is actually doing a great job filtering out the nascent algae bloom kept at bay just under being visible. It amazing how long one can be right at the edge of a full blown swamp.

Get a good Test Kits Compared, then
Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. You'll likely fail the overnight test, which means you have algae if you lost FC once the UV from the sun is removed from the equation.

Then it's time to SLAM Process.
