It comes down to misinformation in the industry. Not understanding proper water chemistry. Why should they, when the strips and many cheap test kits say their chemistry is in the ideal range? Or when the swg is sized for a 20k pool, and they don’t understand this is the bare minimum. From their perspective, their chemistry is within range and they have to clean the cell every 3-6 months, only shortening the life of the cell. Within 2 years the cell is dead and you are forking out another 1-2k on a new cell. If every pool man understood tfp methods, they would jump at the opportunity to convert to swg and sentiment would change. Unfortunately this industry is riddled with misinformation. Buy a swg, learn, maintain yourself. Your guests and equipment will thank your for it.
