We are going to replace our 15 yr old liner this season. Wondering....can we leave the bottom of the liner in the pool as extra safety and just remove the wall portion? the sand is good underneath
Interesting thought. Depending on the size of your pool, I suspect that underlying layer will be almost impossible to keep lying flat while you draw down the new liner over it.
I don't see the harm (although I don't see any REAL advantage) but I think the physical reality of trying to do that may prove VERY difficult.
