Are you talking about the plate that goes in the filter? How could that always been under water once the water line dips below the cutout on the side of the pool?!

You know what dude... I've be with you for 39 pages and have been pretty fast at responding. Forgive me and the rest of tfp if we have pressing issues and don't respond immediately to every question. There is a whole Internet world out there with tons of info available on pool how to's.

Well, that's it. I gave it my best. There's no way for me to drain this pool except to take it apart.

You do know that NONE of us are paid??????? We do this out of the goodness of our hearts and caring for pools.

You need to try some self help skills-google is your friend. There are LOTS of videos on how to vacuum your pool. If you do not know what part is what you can and should do a search for that item.
