Jandy VSP with aqualink

Pump will not start in auto or service mode. Hear relay clicking confirmed with volt meter 240 volts at the pump and at the relay. Impeller is turning by hand. Pump will not make any noise at all. 4 pin connector wires seem tight. Tried cutting main breakers on and off. Tried resetting aqualink.
Any other tips to try troubleshooting before buying new pump?

What specific model number pump do you have?

Does it have a display?

Test the drive with the RS-485 jumper method. Using small sections of 22 AWG wire, jump pins 1 to 3 and 2 to 4. These wires can be made by cutting off a section of the RS-485 wires. Re-install the connector and attach the access cover. Apply power to the motor. The motor should spin at 2600 RPM indefinitely. If the motor works, there is a problem with the RS-485 line or with the controller.
