Perhaps lots of misinformation out there, do I need an in-line sacrificial zinc anode once I put salt in the pool for a SWG to produce chlorine?

If you are building an ocean, then yeah.

But you're building a pool that will be at the high threshold of "freshwater', or the lowest threshold for 'brackish water', which is over 30k ppm below actual 'salt water'.

You also need dissimilar metals touching, which doesn't happen anywhere in your pool, with the exception of certain heaters. Said anode also needs to be more or less attached/very close to said dissimilar metals.

Maybe we could get a ruling from @JoyfulNoise if 6 inches or 6 ft would render an anode useless.
