Want to upgrade a Pentair Whisperflo to a
V-Green vsp. The current motor labels are pictured, also will the wet end be fine the way it is with the original impeller or does it need to be changed to be compatible.
Thanks in advance,

V-Green EVO 165 is the correct Century VS motor for that impeller. Do you have automation? If not, the Nidec Neptune NPTQ 165 will give more control over speeds and programming for about the same cost.

Thanks @1poolman1, Was hoping to get a 2.7-3 hp vsp on there. No automation at all.
To get the benefit of a larger motor you need to also change the impeller. This CMP aftermarket one is very good (their aftermarket Pentair parts are actually better than OEM):
You could then get the 2.7THP version of the Neptune motor (NPTQ270).

The V-Green is only available up to 2.25THP. Or the Neptune NPTQ225. It would take this impeller (also CMP):

Be sure to remove and replace the impeller screw when doing the work. It is left-hand thread. If it is not replaced, the motor will be damaged very quickly as water would be pumped directly into the front motor bearing. Also, a PS-1000 seal and body gasket need to be replaced. Pentair makes a kit, 356198, with all the necessary O rings and the seal.

@1poolman1, Thanks, Exactly the info I wanted. Which one has the y56 frame. I'd rather spend the extra $70-80 up front for the impeller and make it on the back end by efficiency.
The frame is the diameter of the motor casing. The "Y" indicates is has a square flange. NPTQ270 is what you need for a Whisperflow pump.
