Not sure if that poster will be online antime soon since the thread is a bit old, but we'll create your own thread just in case. Below are a few such threads I had saved form teh past. Many members here have done it, so I'm sure you'll get all the info you need to get those Intex proprietary threads (1.25 I think) to match a standard 1.5 inch fitting.

Intex salt water hard line plumbing
I have a pentair pump and filter and I'm having no problem getting the plumbing fittings to hook them up. My Saltwater system is a different story. It looks like the male threads on the Itex are 2" DWS, and I want to get to 1 1/2" PVC. So I need 2 fittings that go from 2" DWS to a 1 1/2"...
