how to remove 3 pin connector to shorten wire on actuator.

Why don’t you coil the excess wire and tie wrap it?

I had to cut the plug off, because the wire was cut near the plug, I would like to replace the connector, I read somewhere you can shorten the wire but don't recall how to remove the connector plug..

I had it coiled up by the control panel.. Thanks for the reply...

I understand your situation now. Lets see if anyone around here has removed the connector.
