Hello. I purchased a Stenner Pump (220V) and Tank for dosing MA. The pump comes with a power cord that is a NEMA 6-15P. I plan on cutting off the NEMA 6-15P plug itself because I want the Stenner Pump powered ONLY when the Main Filter Pump is running.
Once I cut the NEMA 6-15P plug off, there will be *3* wires in the wiring that I need to hook up. On the Main Filter Pump Relay itself, pins 1 and 3 go to the breaker, and pins 2 and 4 are used to power my current filter pump.
Questions...
1. Which color wire of the 3 wires from the Stenner Pump plug goes to Relay pin #2
2. Which color wire of the 3 wires from the Stenner Pump plug goes to Relay pin #4
3. Which color wire of the 3 wires from the Stenner Pump plug goes to Ground?
4. I'm assuming the amperage draw on these little Stenner Pumps is super small (in comparison to the filter pump) so I don't think the additional draw with the Stenner Pump running would risk tripping my relay?
I think wiring as stated above, will ONLY allow the Stenner Pump to run *IF* the relay is ON for the Main Filter Pump. As soon the the relay goes off the Stenner Pump would no longer have power and therefore it won't dose MA at that time.
