Middle of the day and my pump was running, and I wanted to see if my pool lights would turn on and could not remember if it was auxiliary 5, 6 or 7. I hit those buttons and all of the sudden all of the power on the control board has shut off and the pump. I cannot get it back on. In the photo below, you will see my circuit breakers. I have tried to flip those on and off to no avail, please help so I can get my pump back on. Thank you.

Chandler,

One of three things..

1. You have popped the breaker in your main electrical panel that feeds the EasyTouch

2. You have lost the System Transformer.

3. An idiot wired your EasyTouch and they got the power from a GFCI outlet, or breaker, which has popped.

You will need a voltmeter to trouble shoot the system..

Step one is to test for 240 volts into your load center in the EasyTouch.. Test between the two hot leads (L1 and L2) for 240 volts AC.. Do not test to ground or the neutral wire as this can give you a false readings.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Chandler,

Did you reset the breaker in your main electrical panel or not???

Thanks,

Jim R.
Yes sir.. we tried flipping all of these twice and they are dedicated to our pool and easy touch.

Inside our home, we have a breaker panel - in our laundry room- nothing is marked for pool. They are all for indoors. So I’m guessing we have this breaker set specifically for the pool outside.

Do you have a convenience outlet on the side of the ET? Many times that is GFCI and might (though it would be odd) have the ET power running through it.

And here is the one inside our home unafffected. Nothing was tripped at our pool panel outside or inside. But, like I said, we did turn off and back on all of the breaker switches outside for the pool and easy touch and nothing came back on

I’m not sure. Here is a photo of the entire setup and electrical from standing back a few feet. On the bottom of the easy touch, there appears to be electrical wiring that goes through that white PVC and ends up where you see my second photo here.

My mistake, sir. I finally understood what you meant. Yes we have a convenience outlet and I brought my cell phone out to see if it was charged to no avail. Please see photo.

Jim, should I just go ahead and place that system transformer? Can you send me a link to the part to buy?

I do not see a breaker labeled "Pool".

Hello! 👋 that is inside my home. I have a specific breaker panel for the pool attached to the easy touch . See photo. I have no idea what to do beyond flick the breakers on and off. Like I said… I was just hitting my auxiliary buttons yesterday trying to turn on the one that controls my pool lights to see if my pool lights were burned out and all the sudden I hear the pump shut off and the display on the easy touch 🫣 so… should I call a regular electrician or a pool specialist? Should I go ahead and order a part in preparation for an electrician? I’d like to go ahead and have something on order if you guys feel certain. Thank you so much …and the screws are off so I could take a look at the control board.

You have (3) 240 volt double pole breakers labeled Dryer, Stove and AC.

You have to have a 240 volt double breaker somewhere that feeds the pool subpanel.

You need to figure out where the breaker is and you need to test for 240 volts going to the subpanel Line In Lugs.

You have to have a breaker in the house panel that goes to the outside subpanel.

This feeds the line in lugs.

In the below picture the Line in lugs are circled in red and there are red power wires feeding the subpanel.

Your power wires might be red or black.

You also should have a white neutral wire that goes to the neutral bar (Blue circle) and a green ground wire that goes to the ground bar (purple circle).
