I'm getting tired of this too! The dig started on Feb 22 2011 ... PB said that all of his pools are done on average in 120 days or less. My 120 day point is June 22nd, so there you go. I received a great deal on the pool and can't complain about that ... between the Dang love bugs and dust, i'm not sure what's worse right now!

120 Days?!!!!!!!! Wow now I feel bad for griping about my PB taking 20 days to finish the pool. That was one thing I like about our PB they only take on what work they can do, no putting our job off because they started three other projects.

I don't miss those love bugs one bit. I must have washed my car every day for their entire breeding season.

My Pool started on Jan 10 and we put water in the pool on April 2 : 82 Days

Hi Karl....I noticed that you never mentioned who your pool company was? I am dying to know.. could you message me? I promise not to tell. I just signed a contract with Blue Marlin. They told me that it would take about 6-8 weeks from when they get the permits. I live in Rockledge and I think it takes them about 2 weeks. I am dying to get this all started. You can see my pool in the New Construction thread or just look at my profile for my last thread posted.
What city are you in?

Oh... why did you choose bronze for your screen? We are going back and forth with the color of the screen but since we have had such a hard time with love bugs in Brevard Co this year.. I am so happy to have to pool screened.

PoolNewb2011, we went with bronze with our screen because the screen installer said the white would show dirt and mildew. We are very happy with the bronze.

Another vote for bronze. It will hide the mildew. Also, the white enclosures seem to be more noticeable (actually the only one in our neighborhood really sticks out).

Yes, Bronze is far better than white. Screen enclosure is 90% up ... wow, those guys work quick! FYI, the enclosure is about 15ft high at it's highest point. I'll let the pics speak for themselves. Pool texture will be next!! PB tells me everything will "seem" to go much quicker now that the enclosure will be done tomorrow ... we'll see about that More pics to follow after everything is up.

Hey Karl!

I just got back from Indialantic, had to crack the whip while I was down also. Seems many of the contractors take on more than one job at a time!
We had to trim back a bunch of trees and shrubbery, had the beds all raked, now I can finally see the house.
The pool; the salt didn't get in till I went to ACE and got 20 bags, we dumped in 15 had things finally moving along but all the yard debris ended up in the pool sheesh. I'll save the saga for over on my post.

Anyway, I wanted to ask are they going to screen the side of your Lanai? I would hope so.
Things are looking really good and with the weather lately you must be really chomping to get water in that hole!

The screen enclosure is completed ... looks mighty spacious on the inside. PB is now taking care of some concrete blemishes after which the pool interior cleaning will commence. I am in the throws of re-doing the irrigation work right now ... back breaking work, but well worth it in the long haul. Here are the pics of the screen enclosure and some irrigation rework:

Re: Acid Wash, Tile Prep Done!! - Pool Build Central Florida

PB arrived today to acid wash and clean the pool interior. Tiles were cleaned too. Grouting is forthcoming along with additional site grading/leveling. I've labored the past 2 weekends to get the irrigation rerouted around the enclosure ... what a PITA that was! There are some cosmetic issues with the transistion from deck to porch and the left fire pit being out of round a bit. That'll need to be done before mosaics and final finish ... hoping for accomodating weather to get to the mosaic install by Friday. We'll see. Took some pics for posterity ... some closeups of the interior along with exterior shots. Hope to be able to give more news by close of the week.
