For kicks I took in a water sample to my dealer this morning. Interesting results. Their CH was 80. My test 150. Their Alk 76. Mine 60. Their CYA 45. Mine 30. Their pH 7.9. Mine 7.6.
They said my phosphates were 950??? Is that bad? I haven’t googled it.

Man those dealers. You ask for Panama Red and you get Maui Wowie. You want Bubba Kush you get Afghan Kush. Blue Dream….nope Grandaddy Purple. That’s why I finally stopped taking my water to my dealer and got a proper test kit. I think he was partaking too much instead of paying attention to my water samples….🤣

All kidding aside what test kit are you using? If you’re using one of the three recommended kits found here then trust your results and ignore your dealer. 😜

As far as your phosphate level…no. Don’t worry about it, especially at that level. They’re algae food that isn’t a concern if you’re chlorinating your pool properly. Reference the FC/CYA chart here. You are maintaining the proper relationship aren’t you?

You tryna kick me in the teeth, twice ? :ROFLMAO:

You can't Google this stuff or you end up on a 3 million subscriber YouTube channel telling you to put copper pipe in the skimmer basket instead of
of chlorine.

You know we got you. Google can sit this one out.

I still haven’t googled it.

My audiologist is 1 mile from my dealer. Had to drive right by them to get to my audi. Just wanted to verify how correct I am by listening to you guys. And gals. ;)

If you're short on manure, they'll fill your ears with PLENTY of it. So much it hurts sometimes.

Honestly (always be leery when someone begins a statement with "honestly") , I really was hoping the pool water testing machine would give accurate results and verify "my" results. I really was. This was my secondwater sample I have taken them. I never told you about the first one. It didn't line up with my results either. Funny thing is my results are consistent (due to what y'all have taught me) and their's is not.

Oh, and not only were the results off. You should have heard the recommendations. No need to go there in this forum....

There are two issues which has gotta be confusing to the ignorant. Remember, "ignorant" does not mean you are "dumb" or "unintelligient". It just means you do not know. Have not been taught. The first issue is this high tech water testing castrocoligmonameter and the second is the selling aspect of the store. I understand the "selling" part. Making money is important. However, I don't understand the "calibration" of the water testing device. Seems to me it would be in the store's best interest to have accurate test results.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I had added 3 oz of 10% Liquid pool chlorine 15 minutes before taking my sample. Chlorine shoulda been around 8ppm.

I go back to get a hearing aid tune up in Oct. Just so you know, I'll be taking another sample.;):laughblue:

For Kicks...
