CYA level 0 ??

I just got done defeating algae !! Started SLAM on Saturday. I did Overnight test this morning & passed.

CYA 0 <—— I added enough to be 30 is it just soon to register? Should I add more? My kids are wanting to swim today , it’s supposed to be 90* today is it okay for them too

How did you add the CYA? Did you use the sock method or did you add it to the skimmer? How long ago was it added?

I have the pods , I just add to skimmer on Saturday.

With that method it could take a week or so for the CYA to register on the test. This is because it can fall in to areas of the filter with poor circulation and take longer to dissolve. Make sure you don't clean your filter for the next few days either, or you might remove the undissolved CYA.

If your CYA is registering zero then you have to treat the water as if there is zero CYA in it. So the safe FC for swimming is the old 1-3 ppm rule.
