Connecting Zodiac Handheld Remote to iq30

Hello

I purchased a handheld Zodiac AquaLink remote and am trying to connect it to my iq30.

The remote’s default starting point is channel 5 but it isn’t connecting and just says “waiting.”

The instructions say to try resetting to a new channel but the iq30 does not seem to have a “learn” switch.

Any tips for how to connect my new remote?

p.s. I can control the iq30 alresdy ia my iPhone or the web, but I’d prefer giving my guests the remote since it’s (I hope!) much easier.

You need a different antenna for the remote.

The IQ30 antenna is only for iAqualink.

Thank you! Is it possible to add this in addition to the iq30? Or is it one or the other?

You can add the black antenna to your Aqualink panel. The system supports multiple types of antennas.

Thank you for the help and great advice! Trying to find the best solution for letting my guests control limited pool functions. Definitely surprised by the expense and lack of simple options! Appreciate this community, I’ve learned so much in 2 days
