Calcium Hardness in Florida

What's the most affordable way to raise calcium in a pool in Florida, where they dont sell Ice Melt (or is it worth ordering that stuff to HD?)

We have all the typicall pool stoors and home improvement stores, plus amazon.

I'd price out the ice melt stuff (make sure its calcium hypochlorate) as well as calcium from the big box stores.

You don't mention how you normally chlorinate but I'd also price out using CalHypo to give you both chlorine and calcium.

What is your CH level now? Do you have hard or soft water? How high in CH or you striving for?

I don't like ice melt. Some are ok and some aren't, but the manufacturer changes on a whim with zero concern for pools so it's a roll of the dice every time.

I like puritech calcium chloride from Amazon. It's $2 a lb on amazom in the big bags and is a happy medium between ice melt and the expensive pool brands.
