Calcium hardness products

Hey TFP, community. Hardness plus, sold at Leslie's is expensive. But I'm always hesitant to use products in my water outside of what's in pool stores. If I were to use the calcium pellets that I use in the winter to melt ice in front of my house, is that okay in my pool? Thank you.

My CH was around 200 and I needed it around 350. It would've cost a fortune at Leslie's prices, so I invested in this. Worked great and saved me a lot of money. No sand, sawdust, or any other junk filler.

Calcium chloride ice melt is OK to use. Just make sure to check the composition on the packaging and to make sure that it doesn't have any undesired additives.

I like puritech brand from Amazon. It's a happy medium IMO between the 90% pure ice melts and the fancy dancy pool store brands.
