I would remove the ionizer system.

When was the ionizer installed?

Has the copper bar ever been replaced?

How much copper is left in the copper bars?

It was installed 6 months back and it was not replaced. Looks like still lot of copper left on the bar.

I used the Jacks Magic test kit and 3 solutions . STAIN SOLUTION #2 – The Copper & Scale Stuff removed the stain completely on the spotted area on the step. I am waiting for advice from Jacks if I need to use #2 solution.

Seems to me that if the product works, then it should be a go for treatment.
