Bigger is always better??

Now I got your attention, have the failing 3/4hp pump. The B&D Pumps caught my eye... Should I go with 1.5, 2, or the big boy 3?? I could of sworn I read somewhere here to go for the bigger size and running it at slow speed.. Cant find that topic anywhere..

I'm assuming these are all variable speed, so yes, bigger is better in the sense that you'll have more power at your fingertips when you want it. But also a bgger pump running on lower RPM will still move more water than a smaller pump.
