Going from what? You asking about changing a dual voltage pump set for 220V to 120V?

Yes, I want to convert this to 115v. I've turned the dial to 115 but not sure if it matters what color wires go to L1 and L2 on my new wiring to motor from a/c plug.
Also, is the ground the top connector labeled "E" I would assume so since it has GND stamped next to it. used motor didn't have a green screw in it.

Does not matter.

Point to the top connector you think is ground.

Yup, you need the screws for L1, L2 and GRD.
