Best Solar Cover?

They usually last about 3 seasons so the general consensus is to get the thinnest and cheapest one you can. The thicker ones will not last any longer and they are much more difficult to handle, especially a pool your size.

They will reduce your chlorine consumption, the blue maybe slightly moreso than the clear as they will block more UV rays.

Also - the big impact is the reduction of heat loss overnight, not so much capturing the suns warming rays, though I suppose the clear might be marginally better at warming during the day than the blue.

Personally, I have always owned the blue, but since I got my heater I don't even use it anymore. Would rather spend a few more bucks heating than having regular wrestling matches with it. They do help quite a bit.
