I've noticed lately when I let my dogs out at night that my autopilot is making a humming noise for a minute or two. The pool pump isn't running. Usually by the time I get over to that side of the house it stops but the few times I've made it over to the autopilot and no lights are flashing or anything out of the ordinary when it's making the humming noise. Any reason it would be doing this when not running?

Power should be removed from it if the pump is not running. How is it controlled/wired?
Appreciate the quick response. It's direct wired and the timer on the Auto Pilot controls the pump. Power is always on. I noticed the humming during the day while the pump is running too recently, perhaps just more noticeable at night.
