Algae or maybe staining?

Pool is less than a year old. We’ve been in house for 2 months. Recently found this forum and have been working to get numbers balanced, chlorine is low still figuring that out. This “stain” on the bottom of the pool wasn’t reduced by a metal stain remover, doesn’t brush off at all, nothing with a pumice stone.

Trying to figure out what it is, how to get rid of it and lastly sort how to ensure it doesn’t come back. Any guidance or insights is appreciated. In the meantime I’ll keep reading :).

Thank you!
