Reach-in pool skimmer?

I hope I have the name right... I am looking for a reach-in pool skimmer that has no visible lid on the coping or deck near the pool. I am working on designing a new pool that is semi-above ground. It is a gunite pool but 30 inches of it are above grade. We want a skimmer that will fit within a 14" thick pool shell wall without a lid. Hayward says they make one but only for above ground pools with low speed pumps. Does anyone know where I can find the skimmer without a lid? Thanks in advance for your help.

I may have resolved this question. A colleague directed me to the "Waterway Front Access Model 510-1500". It is a spa filter but I believe it can be used for a pool. I'll know more when I speak to the manufacturer tomorrow.

I have same issue. My pool is approximately 10,000 gallons and 24" ABOVE GRADE. (8'X30' LAP POOL) Did you use this spa filter and how did it work out for you? thanks
