    Step tile question

We have bull nose tile on our steps and on a bench and sun shelf. The guy installing it says this tile won't get grouted because they'll just use the plaster finish to fill in between the tile. Is this common practice?

Yes, using plaster to grout tile is quite common when most of the pool is plaster and there are only relatively small areas of tile.

Thanks for responding JasonLion. We have a lot of tile (90 linear feet), and are using River Rok. Does that change things?

    Re: Step tile question

Hi there! Ours was the same way -- bullnose on all the ledges, benches and steps. They were "grouted" when the pool was plastered. All seems okay although it's only been a week...
