I'd like to inquire about this as well. I have a 5 year old 20k gallon gunite pool w/ white plaster and live in Arkansas. I've had it acid washed once due to heavy staining. The stains were mostly removed, but they told me my plater was too thin in some areas to be acid washed. I'd like to replaster w/ Diamond Brite (I think) but have been quoted the remodel at over $13k. I've seen on message boards jobs like this for $6-8k. Also, one company told me they needed to remove the old plaster, not just cover it up. Does anyone have any experience w/ pros / cons of removing the old plaster? Does $13k sound high?
