Hey guys the pool design looks great. Is it okay if I ask which contractor you are leaning toward? I am in your area and we are trying to narrow our contractor choice down as well.

Any recommendations on pool house toilet? Reason being, the distance to main sewer is lengthy and expensive for tie end. Do they make toilet without needing traditional grade sewer line?

Skip this, there is no need for ozone in a typical outdoor residential pool.

I had NO idea the LED lights were so expensive. $2000 for a light? I see the parts only cost about $600.

    Good luck on your pool.

I'll agree, several items in that quote are way above "premium" pricing.

I'd do a little research and negotiate.

    Re: New Build....Nederland, TX

    A several points.

You can get a lift pump for your pool house waste line -- that may solve your problem but a long run is a long run.

It is interesting you bid has equipment from 3 different manufacturers, Pentair, Jandy and Hayward. Is there a reason for this? Generally, Pentair and Jandy (and I think Hayward) extend the one year warranty to three years if you purchase 3 of their products together from an authorized distributor.

The Rainbow chlorinator uses tabs. This site strongly discourages tabs except if you are on vacation. Most here strongly recommend the use of liquid chlorine. Liquid automated chlorine systems are more expensive and complex but don't add other chemicals to the pool which cause other problems.
