    Stray question - H202?

    Just curious.....

    What effect would Hydrogen Peroxide (H202) have on algae and pool chemistry?

    It reduces free chlorine, which algae would like.

    I over chlorinated my hot tub once and learned that I could use H2O2 to lower the chlorine so we could use it sooner. Handy bit of flotsam and jetsam to know...

    There have been previous discussions on this site regarding the use of H2O2 in pools and spas.
    I don't remember exactly when, but you can google: INURL:troublefreepool h2o2.
