PH level question

I'm not really sure what you are asking but the most often suggested guidelines are 7.2 - 7.8. You may see a little variance for one reason or another but all should fall in this range and ANYTHING in this range is normal.
Pool school recommended level is 7.5 to 7.8, so was wondering why they lean to the high side?

You'll see us recommend people drop it to the low end when they are complaining about high TA or rapid pH rise. Not that there's any great advantage to the lower pH - it just means the interval to add acid is a little longer.
It has to do with the rate of PH drift. PH drift from CO2 outgassing is much faster when the PH is lower. Keeping the PH in the top half of the range minimizes the PH drift.
So is it ok to keep my ph at 7.2 to 7.3 instead of 7.5?

That depends on how much of an issue PH drift is for you. Swimming is fine down to 7.2, as is your equipment. Bu the PH is less stable when it is lower.
