Intermatic timer gears moving but clock dial not

On an Intermatic timer, if the motor gears appear to be moving but the clock dial is not, what is most likely the problem?

    Intermatic T4003RT3

    Thanks.

Most likely a gear is slipping on a shaft somewhere.
