most styles use a board and a base. Remove the board by loosening the 2 bolts, this will let you access the bolts that connect the base to the deck. If they are loose, tighten them. Check to make sure there are lock washers on the bolts and you might want to use anti-seize on them as well. If the board or base are cracked they need to be replaced.
