CYA Test

Hi,

I have the K-2006 and it requires a 7ml sample of 1:1 dilution with r-0013 for testing.

I bought a separate tube for CYA testing from TF-Kits and when I use the sample I made, it doesn't work well with this tube as I don't have enough liquid? Does this tube use a larger sample size? If so, which measurements do I use? And can I use a graduated cylinder to measure it out with the speedster?

The view tube for the TF-100 does use a larger sample size and it goes down to 20 ppm instead of only 30 ppm as the K-2006 does.

The amount used should be 15 ml for R-0013 and 15 ml for the pool water.

Thank you! Could I use the cylinder? Or do I need a special mixing bottle? If the pool is under 70 f would that affect results? And how?

Sure you can mix it in a cylinder.

Cold water just slows the reaction. Best to let the sample warm to room temperature before the test.

When I tried using the standard with the tf-100 tube I can like 30 as opposed to the k-2006 tube I get 50

As you are discovering, it is a bad idea to mix testing reagents and hardware. I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish nor can I figure out why you got those results.
