    CYA at 140 Help!

My CYA is at 140 and FC is 1.7. I was advised to drain and refill. Also advised to turn OFF my chlorine tower and only use shock or liquid chlorine every 3-4 days until CYA is down, then maintain with liquid chlorine/bleach. Does this sound right? Thanks!!
