Heater not working / temp sensors

Ha! you nailed it :) So the terminals I took a picture of simply fell off of the mainboard. I saw the temp sensor markings right where they are in the manual. Popped the terminal block back on the pins, errors went away and the heater fired up. Thank you sir, I will be saving a copy of that manual.

Heater not working / temp sensors

I have an error on my panel indicating that the water temperature sensor is not working. I am assuming this is why my heater is not working. However I replaced both the water sensor and the air temperature sensor, but I still have the warning light and message on the panel, and the heater still...

    Help replacing diverter valve

Yeah that would have helped. I just filed it then sanded by hand for a bit, dremel would have been better but so far it all seems to be holding together.

    Help replacing diverter valve

I ended up removing the old pvc from the fittings using a combination of the methods from this video: The first one was tough. Started off heating up a 2" hole saw and just putting it inside... It didn't really get it hot enough, had to torch it directly and really work it out. Learned from my...

    Help replacing diverter valve

Ahh I see, I was confused by photos on amazon. I was seeing the stem on top for the handle and thinking it was reversed, thanks for clearing that up. I've attached some more photos of what I'm working with.

    Help replacing diverter valve

I had a busted check valve and I went to start replacing it and noticed the diverter valve next to it also has a big crack. So I need to replace it too, but I have two questions. One, how does one go about replacing the valve when there's basically no room to work with as far as pvc pipe is...

Test results after partial drain / refill

Ok, I've been testing pH just to see where it was, it hit 7.5 on it's own this morning and hasn't changed. I guess the SLAM is over, I only lost 1ppm FC last night and this evening CC was 0, water is crystal clear and 75 degrees... I'm about ready for a swim! I'm so glad I found this forum, not...

Test results after partial drain / refill

Ok, so I performed the overnight loss test just to see where I was at. FC was at 8 before bed last night, and 6.5 first thing this morning, so I decided to go ahead and SLAM just to keep ahead of any problems that might crop up, I just don't want to take any chances. But what is bothering me a...

Test results after partial drain / refill

Ok, finally got around to draining / refilling to fix CYA problem. Also ordered the TF-100 test kit to get more accurate results. I'm pretty happy where it came out at, I think I can work with these numbers: FC: 3 CC: .5 pH: 7.8 TA: 100 CH: 350 CYA: 60 So, according to what I've learned here...

    Help me identify 2 items

Yup you're both exactly right. I didn't notice it before, but the back patio has a drain in the middle, I stuck the water hose on the drain and 15 seconds later water comes out of this pipe (and also 2 tennis balls, a whiffle ball, a racquette ball and one of those plastic golfballs for...

I explained pool chemistry to my 8 year old with a video game analogy

Wasn't sure where to put this post, but I wanted to share :) I told him that maintaining a pool is like playing a starship video game. You're are piloting the Starship Chlorine and it's your job to use your laser and kill all of the aliens. The aliens come in many forms including bacteria...

    Help me identify 2 items

*** Solved, thanks again! The pipe is a drain from the patio, and the inlet is called an equalization port to allow drawing water even if the skimmer is full of leaves. ----------------------------------- I finally got around to a partial drain / refill to correct CYA issues from previous...
