    Aqua Rite Generator going bad??

Hi everyone ... After taking resetting the board to T-15 and letting it run all day yesterday, the issue is resolved and all levels are now good so I won't be taking any further action. Thanks to everyone for your feedback and guidance!

    Aqua Rite Generator going bad??

Yes, it says T-15 on the label. I'm not sure how the board would have reverted to a T-3 reading? I will change it to T-15 and then retake all the levels again.

    Aqua Rite Generator going bad??

I'm actually running a T-15 cell. I don't know how it is showing T-3 on the panel. Maybe that's the problem right there? Typically, we run the T-15 during the summers here in the desert from 8a-4p, daily. I will take the cell into the local pool store to have it tested. Thanks.

    Aqua Rite Generator going bad??

Our motherboard for the Aqua Rite shows low salt and inspect cell. We cleaned the T-15 Cell and re-installed the cell. I held and reset the diagnostic button per normal procedure to reset the cell. The power light and generating light came on. Then after a few minutes there was an audible click...

    Doheny Dolphin life span

I have a Doheny Dolphin that is at least five years old and I bought it refurbished. It has always worked well but now it doesn't seem to be getting the pool as clean as usual. It is still getting the large debris and most of the silt but not all of the silt/sediment. We are using the folded...

    Old Salt Cell

We recently put in a new salt cell. Is there any reason to hang on to the old salt cell? I vaguely remember reading how you can test your salt cells viability by using an old salt cell but I may have been dreaming!

Aqua Rite SWG and Hayward T-15 salt cell - low salt and inspect cell continue to flash after reset

One more question. Could anyone recommend a submergible pump that doesn't break the bank? it is going to be $50 a day to rent one so I figure I might want to buy one I can also use in the future. Thanks again!

Aqua Rite SWG and Hayward T-15 salt cell - low salt and inspect cell continue to flash after reset

Hi there ... sorry to have taken so long, but just got our K-1766. Salinity reading was 5400. So, using the math you provided above = 2700/5400 = 50%. We recalibrated it to a T-9 per your recommendation a few days ago and it shows 3900 and no flashing lights. Our free-chlorine has been good...

Aqua Rite SWG and Hayward T-15 salt cell - low salt and inspect cell continue to flash after reset

Thank you - I just changed it to T-9. Funny thing is that when I did that, both the "low salt" light and "inspect cell" light stopped flashing. They are now off.

Aqua Rite SWG and Hayward T-15 salt cell - low salt and inspect cell continue to flash after reset

Thank you - And I'm assuming that if the calculation you show above holds true once we get the K-1766, then we're going to have to drain the pool a bit? Would it be a partial/half drain required or do you think it would involve a total drain? Thank you.

Aqua Rite SWG and Hayward T-15 salt cell - low salt and inspect cell continue to flash after reset

Also, I did take a water sample down to one of the local pool stores this morning. They got a reading of 4100 on salinity. If I end up having to purchase a new T-15 cell, can you please tell me a couple good sources where I can buy one? Thank you.

Aqua Rite SWG and Hayward T-15 salt cell - low salt and inspect cell continue to flash after reset

We are ordering the salt test kit you recommended. However, in the interim, we purchased some strips from our local Leslie's just to have a quick look. The salinity was about 4500 using the strips. Our chlorine level is 4. At this point, does this sound like a problem with the salt cell or...

Aqua Rite SWG and Hayward T-15 salt cell - low salt and inspect cell continue to flash after reset

Hello ... I have a pool in the CA desert. The Aqua Rite motherboard was replaced in August 2016 and the T-15 salt cell was replaced in May 2019. I did my routine check today of the salt cell due to the LED light was flashing. The cell was clean and I reset the motherboard to stop the flashing...

    Pool acid wash then refill

No water softener. Plaster is 6 - 1/2 years old and isn't badly stained, except for the bottom step that are old pool vacuum used to go against and made a stained line all across the stair face. Maybe I need to rethink the acid wash at this time and wait until it is really horrible, and just...

    Pool acid wash then refill

Hello - Our calcium hardness is too high so we decided to get our pool acid washed after it is drained. The company doing it will also rebalance the chemistry when it is refilled. We have a salt cell so all I ever use is pool salt, acid, baking soda and conditioner. What order should we be...

    Drain and Refill Pool

Hello - It is time to drain and refill my pool due to high calcium hardness (my test kit is putting it at 1500). I decided to get the pool acid washed since it needs to be drained anyway (plastered 6 years ago). I live in the desert so I know I need to wait until the weather cools down in the...
