Re-reading with actual test kit of CYA is 80 Forgot to mention i did add some muriatic acid to the pool probably a week ago as the CYA was reading 10-20. Not sure if that threw it out of wack somehow

i use the shock from Ocean State Job Lot, which is currently Austin's Pool Tech Shock, apparently it is 12.5% sodium hypo, not sure what the rest is, doesn't say on the label.

Thanks for all the great input guys. Well, overnight the water went from green to crystal clear blue..so I can only imagine the years of me adding conditioner were just me being a fool. Assuming it is a reaction to metals in the water. So, guess I might explore that further. Thanks all.

Haven't tested for metals. Well is only used for outside purposes (filling pool etc) so not really a priority I guess.

So i did empty half of the water and replaced it with water from my well. I added a gallon of shock too and the water went from crystal blue to a greenish color. Note this usually happens when I fill up with a lot of water from the well. I've added liquid conditioner before and it always seems...

I have no idea, the only thing I did was add a few gallons of shock. Had an issue where filter was broken and spitting sand back into the pool but that's about it. I do use well water, and each season I use the conditioner because of it, I guess I just overdid it this time....

I just use the Liquid Shock from Job Lot in small amounts....

I’ve tried big plumbers pliers and brute force but still can’t get this hose off the filter. Also not sure if it’s my lack of leverage but the same end to the pump is not spinning to come off. Any ideas?
