    Just getting everything clear, but it's ready now at 86. Outside has been pushing mid 90's since last week.

    My 7 day Theory aka 2018 Pool Start up..

    I generally just vacuum to filter, just to avoid losing too much water, then I backwash as needed. Yeah, as someone stated below, it doesn't affect the chemistry much, just makes it harder to be as diligent working in it as far as vac/brush etc..etc.

    I usually don't post, just lurk...but I decided I should post today. I've been doing thing the Trouble Free way for the past 3 years and it has never failed me, thanks guys!! For the newbies that get frustrated, keep at it TF works!! SLAMing works...just have patience and follow directions. one...

    To close or not in Georgia

    I cleaned/covered mine and just ran the pump about 1hr a day last winter. Since we had plenty of notice about the temperature drops, I would set my timer to run roughly 10-12 hrs on those days. Everything worked out fine...pool was still green in the spring but nothing a couple of weeks couldn't...
