    What robot to get?

yes, I know, a lot of these threads. And I have read…and am confused. My pool is small, 8000 gallons, and rectangular, with no spa. Steps, plus one bench. That’s 35x9. I had a Dolphin Warrior SE and it was “ok”. y Neighbor‘s Polaris sport does a better job but also takes off a surprising...

Dolphin Proteus Pool Vacuum - Close to the End?

I have 1.5” pipe. Then the flex just above ground. But wouldn’t that mean an entirely new pump?

Dolphin Proteus Pool Vacuum - Close to the End?

I still have a pump for a pressure cleaner. But TBH, wasn’t super impressed with that either. Are the pressure cleaners better now?

    Cordless pool cleaners

call me skeptical of this product. but a few things really jump out via 90 seconds of searching. Aiper’s website shows some type of music / Grammy tie in. WHAT? looks kinda small and insubstantial every “review” on YouTube is by a BS “influencer” most of whom are not any kind of pool experts...

Dolphin Proteus Pool Vacuum - Close to the End?

My Dolphin 200 (bought from Marina 3 years ago now) is pretty much toast. It died and the power supply was replaced, and for the last year or so, it’s not been doing a good job of cleaning. Definitely does not cover the whole pool. TBH, I was never a huge fan of this cleaner. Felt like it...

Real World for Dolphin Clever Clean Mapping

So how do these things pattern themselves? Just bought a Warrior SE (love the fact that it actually says Dolphin right in the front) and I couldn’t figure out how the thing works out how it’s going to clean. It seemed to head toward the shallow end and spend a bunch of time going back and...

Overriding cleaner booster pump Hayward Pro Logic

Ah, thanks! Disabled the interlock successfully. Very glad as it looks like it’s working ok, I think.

Overriding cleaner booster pump Hayward Pro Logic

Hello all. I have a 4 year old system with a Hayward Pro Logic and a Polaris 200 (?) cleaner with booster. I’m trying to troubleshoot my Polaris, but I can’t get past the interlock which prevents me manually turning on the cleaner booster while the filter is running. Any help? I checked the...

    Tiny yard

Yes. Look at the pool in my sig. it is 30' x 6 at the small end, 8' at the wide end. I wish I had taken the time to get a variance for another 3' but it was still worth it. I'm in The Woodlands. Feel free to post questions here or PM me.

Anyone Having Problems With Spiders Around Their Pool?

Bumping this thread as I just killed a wolf spider about 4" across that was in the skimmer basket...with babies. Ewwwww. How the heck can I prevent them in the pool? I have sprayed my dry stack stone and also the lids inside my skimmer basket but we have always had them. The problem is...

Where is all my salt going?

Yup, time to SLAM. FWIW, I have never had a cloudy discharge of water when my SWG is running.

    Can't keep my Chlorine....

No, I don't run it 24/7. I run it in the morning 1.5 hours, mid-day one hour and early evening 1 hour.

    Can't keep my Chlorine....

Success! I got two bottles of conditioner, used one and got the CYA to 35. FC was still 1.5, and I had one drop's worth of CC. I put in another half gallon, and put the SWG on super chlorinate for 3 hours while I went to dinner. When I came back, CYA was 80 and FC was 8.5!! Whoops...

    Can't keep my Chlorine....

So, hello all! Time for another season here in Houston! We've had a TON of rain over the last few weeks. We had a major storm two weeks ago that dumped 12" of rain in 24 hours! Since then we have had numerous storms that have probably added up to another 3-4 inches. Yuck! Trying to get the...

    New Pool Build, Magnolia Texas

As promised, I finally have had the house professionally photographed. I think the pictures came out stunning and really represent the home. Note that the tile flooring in the kitchen / living area is the same tile that's on the pool deck. It's also the same tile in the entry foyer... Please...

Anyone have Wet Edge Aqua Blue plaster?

I have Wet Edge Antigua. If you think Aqua Blue is too light, then you are in trouble because I think Antigua is too light! I get a lot of direct sun, and it is a very bright, almost baby, blue in the sunlight. I have few regrets about how our pool was built, but this is definitely one of...

Under Construction! Cypress/Tomball TX New pool build, small yard

Seems pretty imprudent advice to me. But then again, I don't believe in 10,000 mile oil changes either. I spent $270 on two gallons of sealer and that will have lasted me two seasons by the time I'm done. Seems reasonable on a multi-thousand dollar investment. It takes maybe 2 hours to...

Under Construction! Cypress/Tomball TX New pool build, small yard

A mix of plants. The back fence has wax myrtle and bottle brush. And a few magnolias. Directly behind the pool are few Japanese blueberries. Regarding the sealant, I have travertine and stone, and seal it twice a year. It's not cheap per gallon, but 3M's salt water stone sealant works...

Under Construction! Cypress/Tomball TX New pool build, small yard

Totally normal. They will form the steps with the gunnite. BTW, your yard is even smaller than mine, but if you look at the link in my signature, you'll see how nice a pool in a small yard can turn out! The junk about screens and the SWG is total nonsense. Don't let that be your deciding...

    Heat pump in Houston???

So Hayward introduced a smaller heat pump for pools under 15k gallons at a reasonable price of $1,400 to $1,600. Hmmmm.... HP50HA Heat Pump | Heaters | In Ground Pool Heaters - Hayward Pool Products
