Moving down in Jan, and wondering what a BASIC 16x32 IG pool will run me. No bells and whistles, just a basic one. I know I can get estimates once down there, but just want to get a ballpark figure, since we will be looking at homes without one.

Well my VS pump just took a Crud. 8 years seems low to me. Its the mainboard inside that is toast. Couldn't find a replacement board anywhere. Sucked it up, and purchased a new one for $1200...Just wondering if 8 years is the norm??

My power board apperently is bad....Wondering if I should just get a new board for $300? Or Get a new softtouch unit for almost double? Im leary it will only last 5 yrs again. I expected my cell to go bad, not the control unit.

Opened my pool here in NY last week. Water was clean, no algae. Just yesterday I started seeing mosquitoes flying just along the top of the water. There's a ton of them. I have never seen this. Any ideas? All my chlorine levels are fine. Not sure what's up.

My water is very slightly cloudy. My wife thinks I'm nuts, but I see it. All levels are perfect, no chlorine loss, so I'm not fighting an algae problem. My pump runs 6 hours a day. I'm thinking maybe a backwash, and new fill with de are in order????? Any other ideas?

So my pool is closed, with a solid safety cover with a center drain. We have had 8 inches of rain since it was closed. I just purchased a submersible pump with an automatic on/off float. Am i ok just leaving it on one of the steps until we get a hard freeze? Advice please. Thanks

Brand new pool. Been open for a month swg in ground vinyl. Fc is 5 PH 7.8 CH 175 Cya 50 I never backwashed filter...is a de. I just backwashed and added more de. Should I wait overnight and see what happens? Or add bleach to bring chlorine up??? Pool water is 90.
