    Ok I screwed up today. And added baking soda to my pool thinking I was raising my ph. My ph was at 7 and my ta was at 120. After adding the baking soda my ph went up to 7.2 but now my ta is 250! I am using the Tft test kit. Pool has a sand filter thanks for any advice

    skimmer not covered by winter cover any suggestions?

    I have an in ground pool and it has an auto cover. My pool has 2 skimmers but the cover only goes over 1 of the skimmers. the other skimmer is on the outside of the cover. does anybody have any ideas on what I could do to keep the exposed skimmer covered during the winter? thanks John

    one more question. I pulled my light about a week ago its just been sitting on the concrete out of the water. with it being out of the water for over a week if it did have algae on it would it be dead now or should i clean it? and if so what should i clean it with? thanks

    just keep at it, it will work I had the same frustration with my pool. my slam took almost 2 weeks and 93 gallons of liquid shock! but it finally got there!
