    pH Adjustment Discrepancy

My pH had drifted to 8.0 and I wanted to add MA to bring it down to 7.8. The pH adjustment screen, which has you enter your TA (mine was 60), calculated that I needed to add 7.9 oz of MA to reach my target (7.8). I added that, rechecked in 20 mins and was still above my target. Out of...

Pool maintenance can be like a 2nd job

Sometimes maintaining a pool seems like you have a second job! It is, however, rewarding and the office conditions aren’t bad. 🙂

    Help reading comparator

Yes, I have some color issues. 🙂 The Taylor comparator looks to me like PH is just under 8.0. The TF one looks like it’s not close to any of the colors. Lol! Can someone with normal vision help a brotha out?

    SWCG doesn’t drive Ph up?

I’ve read quite a bit in the forum about this topic but what Im seeing doesn’t seem to align . I’ll assume I’m looking at this incorrectly and look forward to getting smarter on the subject. Also, full disclosure, my pool experience began last October so I am definitely not an expert. For the...

iAqualink updated yesterday to 6.9 now air temp disappeared in the app

Still displays air temp in the web version so the sensor is fine. I called Fluidra and they acknowledged the problem and believe it to be isolated to iPhones. Hopefully they find a resolution soon.

Comparing Ph Testing - Taylor vs TF Pro

I’ve had the K2006C for a while but just got the TF Pro. Side note: It’s interesting to me that they use different reagents for Ph testing. Here are back to back Ph tests of the same water. Also, Smart Stir is the bees knees!

Source for Jandy TruFit Bubbler Lens

My pool was completed October 2023 and it has 3 LED bubblers on the tanning ledge. Each bubbler comes with a 3/4" lens and a 1/2" lens (see item 4 in attached picture). Somehow my builder installed 1/2" lenses on two of the bubblers and a 3/4" lens in the other one. Unfortunately none of the 3...

PH Hovering in the high sevens

Pool was filled last October and I got used to the PH rising fairly rapidly. Here lately I haven’t had to an adjust it in a couple weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy about it. Is this expected? BTW, TA has been steady too at 70. Posting the pic because I too have some color issues. 🙂

Filled new pool in October. Add Salt & CYA now or wait?

I’ve already learned so much from this group and I’m so happy to have found you at the very beginning of my pool-care learning adventure. I love my PB but because of this site I knew better than to continue using the Clorox Extra Blue tabs he left me after startup. 🙂 I’m going to keep the pool...
