@cowboycasey thanks for this tip. I used the muriatic acid today to do my spa with a small wire brush. It worked well. I may try the main pool in a similar fashion when it cools off.

I read the additional reading post Waterline Scale Removal and it seems that you have to hire an expert. The Biodex and Pumice both have issues. Just checking to see if that is still the case and there are no other options to remove it?

Thanks this is helpful for me to look for places. If its not convenient, its not great as I don't have the storage to keep it cool in summer. Unfortunately the locations you listed aren't close as I am in Northern Scottsdale. (27 miles up of the 32 miles long)
