    In floor pool cleaning system

Thanks for the info! Just wanted to make sure that it was required to run the pool. I did come across the top half of the valve so I'll put everything back together when we open. 👍

    In floor pool cleaning system

Also, are in floor cleaning systems completely separate plumbing from the main system (skimmers returns etc)?

    In floor pool cleaning system

I'm helping a friend open his pool this year and I have a question about his equipment (please see attached pictures). I am not 100% sure how an in floor cleaning system works. The plumbing doesn't make sense to me (seems separate from the rest of the plumbing) and I thought these systems...

Partially draining vinyl liner pool - high cya

So they are using a very small sump pump dangling half way in the pool. Could they put the garden hose down the other end and do a water exchange that way?

Partially draining vinyl liner pool - high cya

I haven't had to post on here in a while because this forum has taught me so much and my pool is crystal clear! This post is actually for a friend of mine that I'm helping out. Their CYA is above 100 so I told them that there only option is to do a partial water replacement and then SLAM. My...

    Thanks TFP!

Opened our pool this past weekend and it was CRYSTAL clear! Just wanted to say thanks to the TFP community; I followed the closing directions and it couldn't have gone better. Best pool chemistry website, period!

New pool owner, can’t get the pool clear!

Also, are you sure your pool is 33k? If so, you’ll need 3 gallons of 12.5% chlorine just to raise it up to 10ppm... Keep me posted

New pool owner, can’t get the pool clear!

Forget about your cya for now. Use only a 10ml sample and multiply by .5 so 8 drops would equal 4ppm. You only need one heaping spoon full of powder. Use pool math and shoot for 10ppm and check EVERY 30 minutes to see where you’re at. If your chlorine is disappearing then you may have an ammonia...

New pool owner, can’t get the pool clear!

You need to SLAM properly. It’s a process that takes patience and time. You now have the proper test kit so you are ready to go! When I first start my SLAM I check the FC level every hour. If it’s below SLAM level, I add chlorine. If you stay on top of it, you will get ahead of it. Read the...

    Liquid chlorine pump.

I use my WiFi timer and set it to run at 3 different times per day. I like the idea of keeping a steady level of chlorine throughout the day. We have a lot of kids over most days.

    Rx Clear Filter Balls

Here is a link to the hairnets that I use, it’s unbelievable how much stuff they catch and how well they keep your cartridges clean! Best part is, they’re only $10 for 100! It’s a no brainer... Hairnets on Amazon

    From Green to Clean!!!

So I'm on my 11th day of my SLAM and I've passed all 3 criteria but my water is still not CRYSTAL clear.... It's clear but doesn't have that TFP shine! Last year when I started my TFP journey I got to see what crystal clear water looks like and now I can't go back to anything but perfection...

    From Green to Clean!!!

I let the testing water warm up to room temp. The problem I’m having is that the CYA will barely dissolve in my water..... I’ve never had that problem but I’ve also never tried to do this when the water is so cold..

    From Green to Clean!!!

I'm still in the process of my SLAM but that may be my fault because I haven't been able to give my pool as much attention during the week as I did last weekend... Also, I tried to add CYA but it just wouldn't dissolve... No matter what I did, it just barely dissolved after 7 days! I believe...
