Agree with others. Get your own test kit. Besides the PH test (which is sometimes difficult even for me to decipher with "perfect" vision), all other tests change is dissimilar colors like red changes to blue. For salt, clear changes to salmon color.
Definitely sounds like an algae problem and...
Been trying to search for an answer through the threads, but haven't found anything. Perhaps my searching technique is not sufficient.. I apologize if this has been answered in some form.
I installed my RJ60+ (currently powered off) the other day and opened my pool yesterday. All numbers...
Good tips here everyone. Thanks!
Another question though: The Circupool Control box is wired directly to power? Or is it powered through timer?
My question is, when power is killed to the cell, is it killed to the control unit as well?
Looking to purchase the CircuPool RJ-60 Plus for my pool. Just want to make sure I'll be setting it up correctly.
I understand the plumbing aspects and the need for straight pipe, but am still confused about the electrical aspect. I have a VSP with its own onboard timer and is directly powered...
Does anybody know a good width to cut the concrete so that I can get my hands in and down to set pipe and make new connection to return fitting?
I don’t want to go too wide, but I certainly don’t want to be too narrow.
Also, will I have to drill in rebar to old concrete when pouring new...
Sorry guys, thanks for the responses. Ended up going with the pump, doing my repair work then hopefully be back in action soon.
Sorry for late responses. I didn’t get any notifications on this thread. ?
Sounds good. Maybe just a couple inches of gravel to give support under the pipes and then just top off with the dirt?
Thanks for the responses Pool_Medic!
Started trenching for one of the return lines today, currently sitting at about 19 inches with a couple of large rocks in my path.
Should I go up and over them and lose some depth in the isolated spots? Or just lessen my trench to 12" or so?
My plan is to lay the cheap bricks underneath the...
I don't plan to just dig under the concrete. I plan to make cuts into it and remove a 4 inch wide or so section.. I want to run the lines in the grass, and cut into concrete to run lines under, then re-concrete over the top. Obviously pack down the earth and gravel underneath. Is there any...
Hey all,
There is a good chance I will be attempting this job myself. Contractors are terrible about getting back to me and the one guy I had lined up just pushed me back a couple of weeks due to equipment failure.
Heres the issue:
Was losing a lot of water last season and had my liner checked...
Long story short, I have to replace my return lines because they are all leaking (3 of them). Noticed a lot of water loss last season and finally got around to getting the piping checked recently. I will be replacing my skimmer line as well because it will be in line with one of the returns...
I failed on my updates, I apologize to anyone who was paying attention.
I got so excited that the pool was ready to go as of July 20 (I think)
Here is the latest photo taken today:
like i said, he didn't mention the particular model, I just new it was a hayward. I thought it was nonsense as well, but figured I'd share the "expert" knowledge.
Thanks for the tip about ecostar, I'll try to stay clear when/if the time comes.
so it seems that my pipe is 1.5".
I just puurchased a jandy valve that I will be replacing an old Hayward valve with to eliminate an air leak over the weekend.
I stopped into my local pool company today since they a re a hayward dealer, and on my list of companies for the pump rebate. (Seems to...
