    Circupool RJ 45+ Installation

This week got away from me... That small air pocket in the lower video shouldn't be a big deal. The plates look to be adequately submerged.

    Circupool RJ 45+ Installation

Our RJ45+ cell is mounted vertically too, and did not accumulate bubbles like in your video. The pool is hibernating for a few more weeks, not able to show reference pics. It was hard to tell with how short that video was. Does the cell have water in it? It looks like the plates are "dry"...

Universal vs RJ Circupool- folks in Southern Climate

if you get the RJ unit you could make this, that sbcpool created when he had his RJ+ unit, Shade shelter for CircuPool controller box I've been meaning to make one, and have not had the time.

    Can Salt Concentration Go up?

After you turn on your hose go to your water meter and note the reading (include the tenths). Then keep monitoring your meter until you get to around what 12% would be. This is assuming you have municipal water and a water meter, if you are on well water and no "meter" you'd have to use the...

Need help troubleshooting RJ45+ (Low salt light)

Yes, it's not too bad as there are 4 or 6 screws on the back. Note, due to the heft of the heat sink it might seem like it doesn't want to pull apart. It's the weight of the heat sink you need to counter when pulling apart. Had taken mine apart to confirm it was set to 240v before connecting.

Brand new Circupool sj-45 shuts off after salt and cell lights turn on red

Not home, so don't have a picture. But it is a "T" fitting where the "T" for the flow switch is 3/4" (or maybe 1", cannot remember) threaded that the flow switch screws into. Doesn't have the big screw cap or the metal side tab like the unit you have. The electronics for the flow switch are in...

    Swg pipe size question

Same here, bought the vertical kit and it was 2". Pool pipe also mostly 1.5" flex PVC. My cell is after the heater, and that is 1.5" out until I get to the vertical kit. An extra foot or so of 2' PVC from your filter to the vertical kit should not be an issue.

    Brand-new CircuPool RJ45

This will be our third season with the RJ-45+. Sounds like yours reads like mine. At the beginning of the season, and for each cycle, the unit starts high and then the level drops at a steady pace. Usually after a bit it levels out and is near the salinity level I measured with the K-1766. After...

CircuPool RJ Fit: O-Rings + Tightness

Bought the dummy cell from them and used that when I glued my vertical loop. Mine has a slight "kink" due to the grey fittings not seating as much as the elbows. The grey kept "pushing" out, even though I held them for quite a bit as I noticed them doing that right away. With the cell in I snug...

CircuPool RJ-60 Plus - Where is it made / manufactured in?

Have the Circupool RJ-45+, and it is made in China. The cell is only difference between them.

    Where to add the SWCG

Looks like the installer used the big loop after the heater and before the chlorinator as a "backflow" preventer. Get rid of that loop and the tab feeder and you would have plenty of room for the SWCG.

Need help determining what SWG to replace my current one with, as well as opinions on whether or not to do other equipment change out

Have not looked at the manual for the RJ system, so cannot confirm what you are saying. Having a RJ+ system I can say that the controller does work with the different sized cells for the RJ+ line. The cell housing should be the same, its the # and length of plates that change, and the...

    Proximity of swg to heater

For the RJ+45 you will need about 12"* after any bend before the flow switch. The Cell can count as that 12"*. *Do not have the manual in front of me, and cannot download at work. Cannot remember if it is 12" or 18" before the flow switch. But the cell can count as the straight length for...

    Pentair Ichlor30 and Automation

My brother is a plumber and I have seen him use a tool to remove pipe left in a fitting after cutting the pipe away. He had to do this at my house on the DWV line due to where that builder put the sump pump connection, the stress cracked the pipe coming from the sump pump near the joint of the...

    AGP SWCG?

Our inground pool is around the same gallons as yours. When we start this season it will be the third year for the RJ+45. The unit has run from about Mothers Day until early Nov, at an average of about 25-30% during peak summer. Optimistic I can get about 5 more years out of the cell, and hoping...

    Circupool RJ45+ Install Advice Please

Yep, run my VSP 24/7. Think my lowest over night is about 1200 to keep the cell producing, and then think about 1800 about 6 hours in the afternoon/early evening when we swim with the dogs. I'm still about 6+ weeks away from starting back up to confirm what my setup is. I do have mine jump to...

    Pentair Ichlor30 and Automation

Was holding off on replying since I have a Hayward VSP. But figured I'd provide my experience. My system isn't running, won't be for another 6+ weeks so cannot provide images until then. My VSP does the same thing, but gets worse. I go about 2 - 3 weeks before I backwash and leave the pump...

    Circupool RJ45+ Install Advice Please

For my RJ+45 install I replaced the same puck chlorinator from my system. I did option 1, and due to space restrictions did a vertical installation. Due to time and ease I ended up buying the vertical install kit when I bought the RJ+45. You could buy the fittings and make one easier enough, I...

    Help Wiring A New SWG

Although the instructions do say that the TFP method is to treat the flow switch as a secondary control device, not the primary. The reason is that if the flow switch fails to operate when the pump is off hydrogen gas could build up and cause an explosion. To prevent that condition use a device...

    Help Wiring A New SWG

From looking at the HD pictures the timer plugs in, and accepts two plugs on the bottom that it controls. You would also need to get a three prong plug adapter for the end of the power wires for the unit to use with that timer.

    Help Wiring A New SWG

Found it! In this thread someone was asking about possible options, and the member that had the solution I was referring to posted a reply. Here it the link to the reply. Note, he has this in a two gang box, so it looks cramped and possibly complicated. But this could be put into a bigger box...

    Help Wiring A New SWG

@DanF - that was one, but more complex as it was separate components. There is another one that is an all in one type thing, with a potentiometer that is used to adjust the sensing. I'll try to find the post(s) I saw it in, or the device itself.

    Help Wiring A New SWG

Cannot remember which post I have seen it, but some members use a current detector device. This monitors one/both power wires to the pump and detects current flow, and turns on the SWGC when detected. Some current detectors are adjustable, which you would need for a pump that will always have...

CircuPool Fan runs even when not producing chlorine?

The wall my RJ45+ is mounted has the living room on the other side. Our couch is along that wall, and the unit is mount in a place that is right behind my head when I am sitting in that room. Do not notice the fan running. It possible they are using an even lower quality fan now, but it's an...

Suggestions for Layout of New SWCG

As an FYI - Most sweeping ell's are the DWV variety and not intended for pressure use, like pool plumbing. The difference is the glue surface at the joint, DWV have around 1", and in some cases (depending on MFG) the thickness of the material. Though both are Schedule 40, this indicates the...

    Initial Setup of SWG

Turnover and filtration is a myth, only need to run pump long enough for skimming. With an SWCG then long enough to add the FC lost. Casey was saying 100% because 80% may not be adequate (did not run the numbers in poolmath to check) for the pump runtime. After a few days check FC and tweak...

Shade shelter for CircuPool controller box

@sbcpool thank you for taking the time to create that file, helps me with the measurements, and show off your work. Planned for something similar, using siding I have left over instead of plywood. I was going to attach to the house, but like your "hang" method much better (y). Will do something...

    Cutting out concrete

When the builder cut relief lines in our concrete apron they use a circular saw with a concrete cutting blade. Cannot remember if they used water to cool or not, but using some water probably wouldn't hurt.

CircuPool Fan runs even when not producing chlorine?

SBC - My RJ45+ is on a timer shared with the VSP. The VSP is wired on the hot side, always has power and run 24/7 (I'm at .08/kwh when not on solar). The RJ is on the timed side but have the timer going 24/7, with no off settings. On hot days I have noticed the fan in my unit. With the vsp...
