    Replacing my original SWG

Thanks for the info. Decided to go with the Edge 25.

    Replacing my original SWG

Correct. The power unit and cell. I was looking at the Edge and it looks and installs almost exactly like my simple blue system I currently have. It would be the easiest change over IMO. I'm looking through some posts about circupool now. Are you a somehow involved with circupool? The link...

    Replacing my original SWG

I'm not sure I follow. My current system has a power supply and a cell. You can adjust the amount of chlorine by a series of led lights. Does the IC20 not work the same way?

    Replacing my original SWG

My pool came with a simple blue SWG. It worked pretty well for the first year, ever since then, the cell and flow sensor have been replaced. Fast forward three years later and now the system has stopped producing chlorine. I am looking at replacing with a pentair IC20. The pool is an...

    Salt test

yes, I typically dump it in front of the jet. then whatever settles at the bottom, i brush around the main drains to distribute out. But no way should I be losing 200ppm every time I add 40 lb salt.

    Salt test

I opened the pool this past weekend. Tested the water and it read I had 2800 ppm salt by my K1766 test kit. I dump 40lbs in. I test the next day, I get 2600 ppm. Confused, I dump another 40lbs. I test today I get 2400ppm????? I now have a new test kit on order as this one is 3 years old...

Ok, received the CYA reagent in the mail and retested everything. I have been trying to keep FC levels up in meantime so I have added about a gallon of bleach every other day, totaling 3 times. FC-5.5 CC-.5 CYA-60 TA-80 PH-7.8 Do you think I need a SLAM?

Weekly run my robot to clean the bottom. Check complete numbers every two weeks, was at 3.0 FC three weeks ago, boosted the swg to Max and added the bleach per the calculator. Never have slammed or shocked pool, never use tabs. I was under the impression the swg handles the FC as long as you...

    Odd numbers

I recently had two huge parties and figure that added to my issue. I've been lax in checking the pool since I've never had an issue. Pool is crystal clear, but looks like I should buy some stock in Clorox.

Maybe, unfortunately I need to reorder the CYA solution it was my last shot.

Checked pool today and found my FC at 1.0. My salt system has been on the second to highest setting. I also checked my CYA and it's at 100. We have had significant high heat these last couple of weeks. Does this mean I need a slam? Thoughts? FC-1.0 CC-.5 PH-8.0 TA-80 CYA-100

    How important is CH?

My latest results Chlorine-5.5 TC-5.5 PH-7.8 CH-50 TA 110 CYA-60-70 Salt- 3400 I have consistently run at 50 CH from the start. The calculator says I should be higher (150). My water is always clear, and everything seems fine. I fine tune chlorine and PH weekly. Should I add 10 lbs of...

Thanks. I'll take some pics tomorrow. Currently, we have stepping stones between deck and pool decking, but I don't like them, so we plan on using pavers. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk

First results with TF-100 and K-1766 salt test kits

Rechecked the CH, definitely 50. (two drops it turned blue). As for the FC, by chart 4 is minimum, 5 is target, so I will keep it where we are at for now. I may try to lower PH a tad. Thanks. New this whole thing.

First results with TF-100 and K-1766 salt test kits

Salt -3400ppm FC-5.0 PH-7.8 TA-110 CH-50 CYA-70-80 CC-0 TC 5.0 I think I have everything at acceptable levels. Maybe dial down salt generator to lower FC to 4.0? Lower PH slightly? Or, rather than play around, leave as is. Thoughts?

    New pool and I'm clueless

Good morning all, tested again (still waiting on my TF-100 so using strips), the results are as follows. FC-5 PH 7.8 TA 120 CYA-0 The salt generator was set on boost (100%) by the pool company yesterday, so I am not sure if that added to the FC as my goal was 4 (missed Richards reply with goal...
