The pump runs from 8 am to 6 pm. The fc is maintained between 6 and 9 ppm. The cya did drop to 50 with all the draining. We had about 5 inches of rain in the past three days. If anything the fc was too high for the cya levels.

I’m assuming that with a week full of heavy rain and about three pool drains to get water level correct it would not be uncommon to see algae forming even with chlorine levels constantly at a 8ppm, salt, cya 60 and above?

Had a company come out to quote a liner. Guy offers to hop in pool and finds leak right a way with a bathing suit and a mask. No fancy electronic anything.

Just wanted to verify it is the liner and not the plumbing.

1st time owning a sand filter and the option to backwash the filter. Just wondering what speed the pump is is operated to backwash the filter. Owners manual does not state .

Purchased a new home which has a salt generator which is powered without a timer. will the flow sensor stop the operation of the generator when the pump stops. The pump is a vs with its own programmable timer. Any suggestions?

I uncover when water temp is 50. If I need to add chemicals prior to uncovering I blow air through the main drain to mix.

Robot cleaners are great for reducing build up in your filter. I can go a whole season without cleaning my de filter which is not piped for backwashing.

Looks like your cya is high which might be rendering your chlorine less affective

That is one we were looking at plus the next size up. Our only limitation is that our pool deck is four feet wide and curved where we want to put it. How old are your kids ours are 11. Want to make sure it will be fun enough for them

I just had the same problem yesterday, drained pool down and blew lines out and used more thread tape. Are you guys blowing the lines out under water and capping the returns??
