So i just ordered up this pump yesterday to replace the intex filter pump unit that came with the pool. The intex unit was just clogging way to fast (every 2-3 days) and within minutes if i hooked up my vaccuum. Any suggestions on what sand to use? Any other watchouts when converting over?

Is there a way to hook an actual vacuum up to my pump (see my signature) so i can clean the bottom? The attachment that you hook the hose and mesh bag to just isn't catching all the fine stuff. Please advise what i need. Thanks Matt
