I attached a screenshot of my latest testing. One of the questions I have is about Calcium Hardness. Leslie’s wants me to add about 20 lbs. However, I read in Pool School that vinyl liner pools do not require this. Am I mistaken?

There are different recommendations for vinyl pools.
Pool Care Basics

Stay out of the pool stores. Their testing is not accurate and advice is proven to be untrustworthy.

Use one of the recommended test kits and stay out of the pool stores.
Test Kits Compared

Post a full set of test results from your own kit.

CH

Water temperature

CH is not needed in a vinyl lined pool, unless you have a heater.

In the meantime, make sure your salt cell is working and making chlorine (no low salt, low flow, or other errors). While we do not trust Leslies, that chlorine was super low as was your salt.

I have added 120 lbs of salt and for now I’m gonna keep the pump running 24/7 with the SWG at 70%. I have it set to Super Chlorinate every morning for 3 hours. Water looks visually clear. I hope that’s enough to get me till the test arrives.
