Trying to decide on plaster finish!

That tile is one we seriously considered. We ended up using something very similar from NPT but with a matte finish. I think the tan pebbles in your sample and the other pool shown above are what throw a bit of a green cast sometimes. I would stay with something that only has blues and...

Trying to decide on plaster finish!

Yes. Diamondbrite is a Quartz finish. The Steel Blue is a blend of 4 parts Tahoe Blue (A medium blue color) and one part Onyx (black).

Trying to decide on plaster finish!

Looks similar to the color I chose but in a different finish Diamond Brite Steel Blue (it really changes color a lot depending on the light). I really like the darker finish. Living in the New Orleans area the pool does get warm but I much prefer it that way. You can see the plaster sample...

    Swimout Cave In During Excavation

Looks like a non issue to me. Just going to have thicker gunite there. I had a LOT of washout due to a really heavy rain the day prior to them shooting gunite in my pool. My back wall is just extra thick because of it.

For those in the SE parts... how long do you run your pumps?

I have a variable speed pump and SWG. Run it 18 hours a day. Very low speed for 15 and run my Polaris 3 hours. Could probably get by with less but low is cheap to run and with that much run time my SWG just runs 30%. Water is always crystal clear.

First Time on Vacation since New Pool

I just bring my ph down to 7.5 when I leave and let my pump and SWG run as normal. I just got back from 8 days and the pool never knew I was away.

Can I see photos of your glass tile step markers?

I have a very natural pallet to my pool and went with a mostly gold colored glass marker tile. There is a photo in my build thread here: New Build in South Louisiana - Page 6

    Acid eating beauty....

My pool is about the same age. The acid demand slowed down a lot once I got TA to 60. Also as said above it seems to like to ride at 7.8 so I only knock it down to 7.6 when adding acid.

Ultra Pure and Nature 2 Fusion In-Ground

My pool builder installed the Fusionsoft which is SWG and Nature 2 in one unit. I just never installed the N2 cartridge and left in the shipping plug.

    Chasing pH

Good deal. Once you get that TA down the PH rise should get better

    Chasing pH

Why are you trying to target such a low PH? Follow the advise above.

    Inexpensive CYA

I bought the same brand product from Amazon a couple of weeks ago without the discount. Came in a box with a plastic bag with a zip tie. It dissolved quickly and worked great.
